The Repsol rider Casey Stoner finished third in a complex MotoGP race after a hard duel in the heavy rain at the circuit of Le Mans. Jorge Lorenzo was the fastest and was followed home by Valentino Rossi. Dani Pedrosa, on the other hand was fourth.
The Australian Repsol Honda Team rider has announced, at the circuit of Le Mans, that he has decided to retire from racing at the end of the current season.
